About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated, hands-on individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Turbine Engine Overhaul Mechanic. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in aviation maintenance. You will receive on-the-job training from experienced technicians while assisting with the disassembly, inspection, cleaning, and reassembly of turbine engines and components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in disassembling and reassembling turbine engines and engine components
- Clean and prepare parts for inspection and overhaul
- Learn to follow FAA and OEM guidelines for airworthiness
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Document work performed using shop records or digital systems
- Operate hand tools and basic machinery in a safe manner
- Follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures
- Support senior mechanics and inspectors as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn aviation industry standards and safety protocols
- Ability to work in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Previous mechanical experience (automotive, small engines, etc.) is a plus
- Enrollment in or completion of an A&P program but not required
