Hazen and Sawyer is an employee-owned professional corporation providing consulting services in Environmental Engineering and Science to the public and private sectors since 1951. We are currently seeking candidates for a full-time Entry Level Structural Engineer.
Job Description
The position will include performing structural design and analysis of environmental structures such as low-rise industrial buildings, pump stations, process basins, treatment facilities, dams, and spillways. Work will be performed under the supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer, meeting experience requirements for the PE exam.
Responsibilities
- Computer-aided design (AutoCAD, Revit drafting/modeling, STAAD).
- Full structural design based on governing building codes and design standards.
- Performing construction management tasks such as shop drawings reviews, responding to RFIs, and field inspections.
- Writing technical reports and assist in the development of drawings and specifications for construction.
- Candidates must be effective communicators and successfully work in multi-discipline team environment.
Requirements
- 0-4 years of experience
- Progressing towards a BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural focus, from an ABET accredited institution with a BS graduate degree prior to employment.
- Candidates must have or be in progress of obtaining EIT status via successfully completion of the FE exam.
- Experience or coursework in reinforced concrete, steel, and reinforced masonry.
