About the Role:

As an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer in the water treatment industry, you will play a critical role in supporting the design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems and components used to generate high purity water for power and industrial applications. Your work will directly contribute to the production of high-quality products by applying engineering principles to solve practical problems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including design, production, and quality assurance to ensure that Altair equipment meets both performance and cost objectives. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the industry with cutting-edge design technologies and processes while developing your technical expertise. Ultimately, your contributions will help drive innovation and efficiency within the manufacturing operations across the United States.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Basic proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental mechanical engineering principles including mechanics, flow mechanics, and thermodynamics.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and document engineering activities.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Qualifications:

  • or co-op experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, pipe design, or equipment assembly.
  • Basic office program skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and analysis of water treatment equipment and components and systems using CAD software and engineering tools.
  • Support the development and testing of capital equipment to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot production issues and implement process improvements.
  • Ability to wear multiple hats during to project process.
  • Prepare technical documentation including drawings, reports, and specifications to support manufacturing and quality control.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
