Entry Level Manufacturing Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of manufacturing components and systems using Rhino 3D modeling software
  • Generate toolpaths and CNC-ready files using VCarve for machining operations
  • Utilize OmniWin for nesting and cutting optimization in plasma or laser cutting applications
  • Collaborate with production teams to improve manufacturing workflows and reduce waste
  • Support prototyping, testing, and documentation of mechanical designs
  • Maintain accurate records of design iterations, production data, and quality metrics
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the engineering process

Qualifications

  • Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field experience
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software, specifically Rhino, VCarve, and OmniWin
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, laser/plasma cutting, and fabrication
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced engineering environment

Skills (Bonus)

  • or co-op experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
  • Basic knowledge of G-code and CNC machine operation
  • Experience with other design tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
