Job Title: Entry Level Environmental Representative

Location: Lockport, LA

Position Overview: The Entry Level Environmental Representatives responsibilities will include inspecting and maintaining the facility’s handling, storage, and disposal of waste; including managing the air, water, and dredge permits to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Waste collection, storage, and transport (hazardous, non-hazardous, universal, industrial solid, special waste, tires, sewage/biosolids).
• Blasting and Painting Engineering Controls.
• VOC and Fugitive Housekeeping Plan.
• SPC/SPCC Plan.
• SPC/SPCC inspections.
• Air opacity checks and log completion.
• Hazardous Waste inspections.
• Secondary containment drainage logs.
• Rain Gauge Report/Rainfall logs.
• SWPPP inspections.
• Performs sanitary unit maintenance, as applicable.
• Assists facility and corporate HSE personnel in carrying out various environmental duties.
• Ability to collect required water samples.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of one (1) year working experience in Environmental compliance.
• EMT, First Responder and First Aid Training is a plus.

Skills and Abilities:

• General knowledge of environmental practices and procedures.
• Capable of monitoring/controlling those procedures on-site.
• Highly motivated, proficient in using MS Office applications (MS Excel, MS Word, etc.), Oracle experience a plus.
