SUMMARY:

VadaTech is a world leader in the design and manufacturing of embedded computing solutions. Due to continued growth, we are seeking candidates for the position of Entry Level Electrical Engineer. The Entry Level Electrical Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting complex FPGA or Processor based boards to component level. Will work with Design and Software engineers to isolate difficult problems and find solutions.

Requirements:

  • Troubleshooting production boards to component level.
  • Documenting Failures and providing feedback to production as needed.
  • Troubleshooting prototypes.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineers to create change orders.
  • Assist with resolving any design issues.
  • Build and Document test cables.
  • Work with Support Team to attach test equipment to remote setups.


Candidates selected will complete three different rotations:

  • 2-3 months working with the production manufacturing hands-on on Vadatech, Inc. embedded products.
  • 3 months working under the mentorship of the Electronics Device Verification Test team.
  • 3 months working under mentorship on low-level Electronics debug boards.
  • Candidates selected will be evaluated during each rotation to assess competency.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics.
  • Ability to use precision hand tools and measuring instruments.
  • Knowledge of Linux and computer networking is a plus
  • Experience with oscilloscope and digital multimeters.
  • Knowledge of spectrum and logic analyzers is a plus.
  • Familiarity with I2C, PCI, SPI, JTAG, UART protocols is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics.
  • Knowledge of Linux and computer networking is a plus.
  • Familiarity with 12C, PCI, SPI, JTAG, and UART protocols is a plus.

ENVIRONMENT:

  • Indoors/Engineering Labs/Manufacturing Floor

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear, ESD wrist, and Foot Strap.
  • Ability to handle and lift objects weighing at least 25 lbs.
