Jacobs is seeking an Entry-Level Chemical / Process Engineer to join our Advanced Facilities - Adv. Manufacturing team in either Greenville, SC, Appleton, WI, or Pittsburgh, PA, working on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients' challenges locally and worldwide. This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our team and be involved in a variety of engineering tasks for our clients; such as working on state-of-the-art projects, implementing, modifying, and maintaining process designs, while assisting with the development of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and equipment specifications.

In this position you will work with a multidisciplinary team taking on a variety of tasks that blend your theoretical knowledge with practical application. Under the guidance of professional engineers, architects and other senior technical staff you will develop flow diagrams, perform sizing calculations for pipe and equipment, and develop process specifications. We'll rely on you to assist activities ensuring that design and construction conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements. You will build technical skills by utilizing software such as PipeFlo, AFT Fathom, Bluebeam, and SmartPlant.

This position demands a results-driven, client-focused professional with excellent written and verbal communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a strong work ethic. You'll take ownership of the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the work assigned to you by demonstrating the ability to progress from basic design work assignments to more complicated and involved projects working in conjunction with a technical team. Your ability to manage your time and responsibilities effectively while maintaining a high standard work product will be instrumental in delivering successful project outcomes.

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel

Basic understanding of process design principles and standards

Previous experience relevant experience

Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship (sponsorship will not be available for this role now or in the future)

Ideally, you will also have

Previous experience developing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)

Basic knowledge of ASPEN, PipeFlo (Professional and Compressible), AFT Fathom, HTRI, WinGems, and SmartPlant

Previous exposure to manufacturing processes, process engineering and design activities

Engineer In Training (EIT) Certificate or on track to obtain

Willingness to travel occasionally for project site visits or client meetings
