Job Description
Enterprise Asset Management Rules Optimisation Analyst
Design the rules. Improve the outcomes. Turn asset data into operational advantage.
The Enterprise Asset Management Rules Optimisation Analyst sits at the heart of how MBNL plans, executes, and improves maintenance across its asset base. This role is all about making the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system work smarter—ensuring rules, logic, and data structures are aligned to operational reality, organisational objectives, and best practice.
You’ll combine analytical thinking, system expertise, and continuous improvement mindset to optimise maintenance efficiency, improve data quality, and reduce cost—while enabling better decisions across maintenance, finance, and operations.
Why this role matters
The quality of EAM rules directly shapes maintenance outcomes, cost efficiency, and asset reliability. Get the logic right—and everything downstream improves. This role ensures MBNL’s asset management capability is consistent, transparent, and future-ready, supporting better performance today while enabling smarter automation and insight tomorrow. This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 2 days per week in our Central Reading office.
What you’ll be here to do:
You’ll own the design, optimisation, and evolution of EAM rules—turning complexity into clarity. You’ll
Rule Optimisation & Best Practice
- Review existing EAM rules and configurations, identifying inefficiencies, duplication, or misalignment.
- Design and implement best-practice rule logic for work , task planning, and maintenance strategies.
- Ensure all rules align with organisational goals, regulatory obligations, and governance standards.
Data Accuracy & Standardisation
- Define and enforce data governance standards within the EAM environment.
- Maintain data integrity and eliminate silos through consistent structures and centralised access.
- Standardise processes to ensure the organisation operates from a single version of the truth.
System Integration & Visibility
- Support seamless integration between EAM, ERP, and operational systems.
- Improve visibility across maintenance, finance, and operations—ensuring decisions are evidence-led.
- Work closely with digital and data teams to ensure changes are scalable and sustainable.
Maintenance Strategy Alignment
- Enable a balanced mix of predictive, preventive, and condition-based maintenance.
- Optimise maintenance rules to reduce downtime, extend asset life, and improve lifecycle outcomes.
- Ensure maintenance logic reflects risk appetite, asset criticality, and performance objectives.
Reporting, Transparency & Insight
- Improve transparency of work orders, asset performance, and maintenance schedules.
- Create and enhance reports and dashboards to support performance monitoring and governance.
- Use insight to highlight improvement opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.
Automation & Continuous Improvement
- Leverage automation within the EAM to streamline workflows and reduce manual error.
- Regularly review and evolve rules to keep pace with organisational change and technology advances.
- Challenge the status quo—bringing new ideas, tools, and approaches into the EAM ecosystem.
Who we’re looking for:
You’re a systems-savvy analyst who enjoys turning structure and logic into better operational outcomes. You’ll have:
- Proven experience working with EAM systems and rule optimisation.
- Understanding of ERP systems and system integration.
- Experience in process improvement and automation.
If you also have the following, we’re especially interested in talking to you:
- Hands-on experience with EAM / CMMS platforms (e.g. Maximo, SAP PM).
- Exposure to telemetry, SCADA, or IoT data.
- Familiarity with asset management frameworks such as ISO 55000.
