Enterprise Architect – Azure Cloud (Contract)

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week)

Employment Type: Contract (Not Corp to Corp, No 3rd parties)

Work Authorization: US or Green Card only (No C2C)

Overview

A Phoenix-based organization is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of a large-scale Azure cloud platform. This role will focus on building a secure, scalable, and enterprise-ready cloud environment aligned with Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and governance of an enterprise Azure cloud platform
• Provide architectural leadership across cloud domains including landing zones, security, networking, DevOps, and resilience
• Design and oversee Azure infrastructure, including VMs, App Services, Storage, and SQL solutions
• Establish and manage and access controls using Azure AD and RBAC
• Implement and enforce security and compliance standards, including policies, encryption, and governance frameworks
• Develop and execute monitoring, logging, and performance optimization strategies
• Support the transition to Azure and/or cloud-agnostic solutions
• Drive DevOps enablement, including Infrastructure-as-Code and automation initiatives
• Provide technical documentation, knowledge transfer, and ongoing architectural guidance

• Hybrid role based in Phoenix, AZ (2-3 days onsite weekly)
