Engineering Technician 

Salary £51,700 Including Shift Allowance

We are recruiting an Engineering Technician for our client's state-of-the-art automated distribution centre in Stafford, which is commutable from Stoke on Trent, Telford and Wolverhampton. You'll play a key role within a skilled engineering team, maintaining and supporting a wide range of advanced equipment including automated retrieval systems, box erectors, stackers and de-stackers, and matrix sorters.

 

This is a fast-paced, highly automated environment where you will be responsible for both reactive and planned preventative maintenance, so you'll need to be confident working across both mechanical and electrical systems while ensuring the facility continues to run at peak performance.

 

   Key Responsibilities of an Engineering Technician



Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across automated systems

Follow health and safety procedures correctly at all times

Day to Day maintenance of site MHE to a high standard

Demonstrate hands on ownership and confidence when responding to breakdowns 

Prioritise system faults 

Accurately record work carried out

Collaborate with colleagues Experience and Qualifications required for an Engineering Technician 



Apprentice Trained or equivalent qualifications in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering to at least Level 3 standard

Experience with maintaining storage retrieval system 

Pneumatic and Hydraulic experience would be beneficial 

Computer literate

Previous experience within an automated distribution centre is ideal
