Responsibilties:
- Prepare, scan, and analyze hardware using 3D scan technology
- Perform static stress testing, hydrostatic testing, CG/MOI measurement
- Support testing phases: setup/run/tear down
- Perform modal testing, acoustic ring signature testing, electro-dynamic vibration shaker testing, and laser vibrometry testing
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- A willingness to perform fine motor skill activities as well as heavy equipment setup
- Good mechanical aptitude. Electrical aptitude is a plus.
- An understanding of high-speed data acquisition, strain gages, thermocouples, LVDTs, load cells, accelerometers, and signal conditioning
- Experience with 3D scanning, GD&T, vibration shaker control, electro-hydraulic control, basic machine shop functions and modal testing
- Familiarity with RTCA DO-160 and MIL-STD 810 Vibration and Shock sections
- Practical experience working with engineering equipment
- Ability to mentally conceptualize and manipulate 3D objects
- Willingness to travel occasionally to support multiple sites to drive test plans forward
