Engineering Technician-Contractor A

Location: Carlsbad, CA

Schedule: 9/80 REG, 1st shift (day start time between 6:30am-8am)

Job Description: Photonics Technician to join our talented team and support our customers. We are seeking a technical professional to help build, clean, integrate, and test photonic components into larger system assemblies. This is an on-site position supporting precision lab work at our Carlsbad, CA location. We look forward to reviewing your application!

Essential Functions:

• Performs all duties required to assist with the fabrication and integration of parts and assemblies.

• Perform wide variety of mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly operations on small, precision parts.

• Perform cleaning processes of small optical components.

• Monitors and verifies quality of finished product using various measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.).

• Work in a team setting collaborating with manufacturing, planning and engineering.

• Willingness and ability to comply with all applicable PPE and safety requirements (safety glasses, gloves, etc.).

Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 0 to 3 years of prior related experience.

Additional Skills:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

• Excellent people skills to include working in a diverse, and dynamic team environment

• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation)

• Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational success

• Ability to learn and understand drawings, procedures, and/or schedules

• Ability to accurately complete all required paperwork.
