About the Role:

This role requires strong technical expertise to resolve complex IT issues, support escalations, and contribute to the stability and efficiency of Help Desk Operations, Incident Management, Inventory Management, and related departmental projects. The Tier 3 engineer will serve as a subject matter expert and work cross-functionally to ensure high-quality service delivery and continuous improvement.



Responsibilities:

  • Provides advanced support for the setup, configuration, and upkeep of departmental IT systems.

  • This involves providing guidance and support, to ensure high levels of productivity and customer satisfaction.

  • Work closely with other departments within the organization, such as the network operations team and the security operations team, to ensure seamless coordination and support in addressing IT-related issues and challenges.

  • Provide technical assistance & feedback to team members.

  • Strong technical background and the ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues.

  • Contribute to internal knowledge bases and runbooks.

  • Performing system analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of IT incidents.

  • Lead incident response and communication processes, ensuring minimal impact and quick resolution

  • Continuously evaluate and improve the processes and procedures within the TOC to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.

  • Facilitate clear technical communication within the team and ensure relevant project updates are effectively relayed in coordination with project stakeholders

  • Serve as an escalation point for Tier 1 and Tier 2 associates.

  • Develop and maintain incident response procedures and playbooks.

  • Drive TOC Projects to completion.

  • Participate in testing new software, hardware, and IT services before broader deployment.

  • Develop or support automation efforts to streamline routine support tasks, and collaborate with the RPA team on broader automation initiatives.

  • Leverage additional IT automation tools such as Gemini and ChatGPT to improve efficiency and reduce manual workloads.


What Success Looks Like:

  • Demonstrates strong command of the tools, systems, processes, and equipment within the engineering function.

  • Troubleshoots complex issues with minimal supervision and resolves problems efficiently.

  • Consistently completes tasks accurately, on time, and in alignment with engineering standards.

  • Produces high-quality documentation, reports, logs, and test results with minimal rework needed.

  • Operates independently for most assigned tasks and seeks guidance only for high-complexity or high-risk work.

  • Manages workload effectively, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;

  • Extensive experience (6+ years) in IT operations engineering, systems engineering, or a similar role.

  • Experience with implementing IT infrastructure solutions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation range: $69,400 - $80,000
