Title: Engineering Technician II - Product Engineering Support // Technician II

Location: Fargo, ND - 58102

Duration: 12 Months (possible extension)

Notes:

• 1st shift hours are 8 AM – 4 PM Central, Metatarsal boots required for day 1.
• The manager is primary focused on getting candidates who are more mechanically inclined and who have solid computer skills for this particular role on the team.

Job Duties:

• Perform inspection and test as necessary to determine cause of defective electronic assemblies with instruction.
• Document and maintain records relating to work performed.
• Inform supervisor of process or design problems and assist in the corrective action.
• Conduct manual test of electronic circuits and PCBs according to engineering instructions.
• Communicate with others in a professional and effective manner.
• Update test documentation when required for prototype products.
• Provide training to less experienced technicians when required.
• Perform other associated tasks as required from their supervisor and manager.

Required Education:

• AS in Electronics or a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification or equivalent experience.

Required Skills:

• Possess effective written and verbal communication skills, enabling correspondence with internal departments and vendors.
• Working knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, and word processing.
• Understanding of trouble shooting methodologies to identify root cause.
• Knowledge of test equipment, e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
• Ability to read basic engineering documents, e.g., schematics or diagrams.
• Ability to comprehend product/process component datasheets.
• Ability to assemble and disassemble products; ability to maintain lab equipment.
• Ability to perform basic mechanical work; ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to occasionally lift 25 lbs without assistance.

Required Experience:

• Required: Minimum one year of related experience.
• : Three or more years of related experience.
• Possess effective written and verbal communication skills, enabling correspondence with internal departments and vendors.
