Education: High School Diploma or GED
Months/Years of Experience: Five (5) years of applicable experience supporting engineering or testing of hardware in the appropriate area of specialization: or two (2) years of applicable college/vocational/military//technical school and three (3) years of applicable experience in the assigned specialty area: Mechanical - at least four (4) of the five (5) years of experience must include successful completion of one (1) year of vocational/military/technical school training in practical or industrial arts and a minimum of two (2) years of mechanical fabrication and structural/fixture setup supporting engineering or testing of military hardware.
Required Qualifications: Must be a U.S. and have or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance.
Skills Needed: New hire will be capable of operating heavy equipment, able to lift 75 pounds, and willing to work in adverse weather conditions. This technician will operate machinery to include - Class VII and below forklifts, drive tanks, operate earth moving equipment, and hold or obtain Class A CDL w/hazmat endorsement. Welding and/or mechanical skills will be utilized on a daily basis. This individual must be able to read, understand and adhere to all applicable SOP's and TSRA's.
