Engineering Supervisor



Location: Doncaster

Salary: £50,000 – £53,000 DOE

Hours: Monday to Friday, Days (45 hours/week)

Job Type: Permanent Full-Time

About the Role



We’re seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead a small team of Maintenance Engineers in a fast-paced, heavy industrial setting. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of plant machinery, driving performance, and fostering a culture of development and accountability.



This is a hands-on leadership role, you’ll be on the tools when needed, but also managing workflow, mentoring your team, and working closely with the Engineering Manager on strategic improvements.



Key Responsibilities



Lead, support, and develop a team of Maintenance Engineers

Oversee reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM)

Fault finding and diagnostics on mechanical and electrical systems

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the plant

Manage team workload and ensure optimal resource allocation

Collaborate with the Engineering Manager on project planning and execution

Maintain high standards of health, safety, and complianceWhat We’re Looking For



Supervisory experience in food manufacturing or FMCG

Multi-skilled in both electrical and mechanical maintenance

Proven experience in high-volume or heavy industrial manufacturing

Strong leadership skills — able to motivate and guide a team

Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities

Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Engineering qualification (Level 3 or higher) required

A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous learning and development Desireables
