Job Description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Engineering Supervisor to join a well-established team on a permanent basis at a large, prestigious site in Croydon. This role will involve overseeing a team of shift engineers while ensuring all engineering operations and processes are carried out in full compliance with statutory and safety requirements.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProvide technical advice and support to site-based Authorised Persons (APs)\n\nLead, plan, and deliver agreed changes to drive continuous improvement and enhance site performance\n\nAssess, appoint, and manage all Authorised Persons, maintaining the Certified Persons Register\n\nEnsure all planned preventative maintenance is completed to a high standard and that scopes of work are appropriate for the installed equipment\n\nDevelop, implement, and maintain action plans following internal and external audits, including annual audits from Authorising Engineers, ensuring timely and accurate close-out\n\nCollaborate with site-based Authorised Persons to produce a forward maintenance register and capital investment plan to support proactive estate management\n\nConduct regular assessments of site-based Authorised Persons, ensuring all training and appointments remain valid and up to date\n\nMaintain consistency and accuracy across all site logbooks\n\nParticipate in callout rota \nEnsure the permit-to-work system is fully compliant and fit for purpose\n\nReview, check, and authorise all relevant HV switching programmes\n\nEssential Requirements\n\nProven experience operating in an Authorised Person (AP) role\n\nHV & LV Authorised, with the ability to write and authorise HV switching schedules\n\nExtensive knowledge of Building Services Engineering\n\nStrong supervisory and people-management experience\n\nQualified to HNC/HND level or equivalent\n\nFull Electrical, Mechanical, or Air Conditioning qualifications\n\nPackage & Benefits\n\nMonday to Friday - 40-hour working week\n\n25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays\n\nCompetitive salary of £60,000 per annum\n\nPaid overtime\n\nPension scheme\n\nLife assurance\n\nOn-site gym facilities\n\nSubsidised eye tests\n\nOngoing training and development opportunities\n\nFor further information, please contact Tarik Bell-Ross ((url removed))\n\nRG Setsquare is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy
