Job Description\n \nJob Title: Engineering Supervisor\nReports to: Site Lead\nDepartment: Engineering\nLocation: Addenbrookes\n \nJob Purpose:\n \nProvide a comprehensive engineering service to a Research & Development site in Addenbrookes at a supervisory level. Ensure the Engineering Team have the skills, knowledge and experience to complete all repair, maintenance, and service tasks efficiently and to a high standard.\n \nAssist the Technical Operations Manager and Site Lead on operational, regulatory, and statutory compliance matters. Ensure adherence to client Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety procedures and Company IMS.\n \nEnsure maximum availability of engineering equipment through safe, efficient planned maintenance and fault resolution.\nProvide technical support for projects, commissioning, and handover work.\n \nKey Responsibilities:\n \n- Ensure regulatory activities comply with client Quality System and Company IMS\n- Maintain equipment and utilities to operate within specification\n- Provide engineering service to site infrastructure\n- Ensure availability of plant equipment via planned maintenance and fault response\n- Support projects and commissioning activities\n- Manage PPMs and SSRs within maintenance system\n- Raise Change Controls and Business Impact Assessments\n- Plan and schedule maintenance work\n- Issue work orders and permits to work\n- Diagnose faults and plan remedial work\n- Manage subcontractors and ensure SLA compliance\n- Maintain safety standards and PPE compliance\n- Lead, train and develop engineering team\n- Participate in audits, testing (IQ/OQ), and project work\n- Build client relationships and ensure satisfaction\n \nResource Responsibilities:\n \n- Line management of engineers\n- Oversight of subcontractors including permits, RAMS, and compliance\n \nPerson Specification:\n \n- Relevant technical qualifications\n- Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)\n- Good interpersonal and communication skills\n- Strong organisation and leadership capability\n- Ability to prioritise and work under pressure\n- Customer-focused mindset\n- Experience in multi-site environments\n \nAdditional Information:\n \n- Participation in on-call rota\n- Overtime payment for call-outs
