Job Description

Job Title: Engineering SupervisorLocation: Blackpool (Site-Based)Salary: £60,000 – £63,000 (DOE)Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts (Days & Nights)

Overview We are recruiting for an experienced Engineering Supervisor to join a leading, fast-paced automated manufacturing business in Blackpool. The site is currently going through an exciting period of growth, following significant investment in new technology and equipment making this a fantastic time to join and make a real impact.

The Role As Engineering Supervisor, you will lead and support a team of engineers within a highly automated production environment. You’ll be responsible for driving reliability, maximising equipment performance, and ensuring engineering standards are consistently met across the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a small team of engineers across shift
  • Drive equipment reliability and minimise downtime through proactive maintenance strategies
  • Champion and embed TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) principles across the site
  • Monitor and improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) performance
  • Provide hands-on technical support in a fast-paced, automated environment
  • Ensure all engineering activities are carried out safely and in line with site standards
  • Work closely with production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support fault finding, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions

About You

  • Proven experience in an Engineering Supervisor or team leadership role within manufacturing
  • Strong background in automated, high-speed production environments
  • Solid understanding of reliability engineering, TPM, and OEE
  • Hands-on approach with strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing and developing small engineering teams
  • Ability to work effectively in a shift-based, fast-paced environment
