Job DescriptionJob Description
This position supports the efforts of the Engineering department by writing and compiling code bases for custom controllers for use in electromechanical machinery for front-end and back-end environments. The position also supports the Engineering department by developing GUI’s (Graphical User Interfaces) and programs for PLC’s (Programmable Logic Controllers).
Roles/Responsibilities:
- Assist with the writing of front-end and back-end code for custom controllers under guidance of senior engineers.
- Assists the senior engineer testing of code releases in equipment in R&D lab environment
- Assists with providing technical input to troubleshoot issues with fielded machines
- Assists with the revision of code to correct operating deficiencies
- Maintains revision control of code releases
- Assists senior engineer with updating PLC programming, HMI programming, and Drives documentation.
Qualifications:
- Must be actively enrolled in an accredited engineering degree program with a minimum GPA of 3.0
- An Electrical Engineering degree is , though students pursuing an Applied Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering will also be considered.
- Experience with programming custom controllers and working in a lab environment
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
