We are seeking a driven and technically skilled individual to join our Commercial HVAC team in an Engineering Sales role. This position plays a key role in promoting a diverse portfolio of HVAC equipment across multiple brands to engineering design firms.The primary objectives are to build long-term relationships, influence design specifications, and secure Basis of Design (BOD) for our solutions in commercial construction projects.
This position is open to both new engineering graduates and professionals with relevant experience. Whether you're just beginning your career or have prior experience in HVAC, engineering, or technical sales, were looking for someone who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to our teams success.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with consulting engineers, owners, contractors, and other key influencers within the design community.
- Promote a wide range of HVAC equipment & controls offerings to secure BOD and specification .
- Provide technical support throughout the stages of commercial projects, including product selection, system integration & optimization, and performance data.
- Educate the engineering community on new technologies, system applications, and product updates through lunch-and-learns, technical presentations, and site visits.
- Track upcoming projects and specifications through company tools and actively manage sales pipeline and forecasting.
- Collaborate with internal estimating, inside sales, and applications engineering teams to deliver complete and competitive project proposals.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and association meetings to increase visibility and build network within the commercial construction and design industry.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, codes, and standards affecting HVAC systems and specifications.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues to ensure a successful resolution for the end user, installer, and designer.
- Perform other sales duties assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical field , but 2+ years relevant work experience in the construction industry or sales role will be considered, especially if HVAC related.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility.
- Solid understanding of HVAC system design, operation, and application.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and mechanical schedules.
- Familiarity with HVAC design software is a plus.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and organized with excellent time management skills.
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel regionally as required.
- Must be willing to travel during the work week occasionally for training and factory visits.
