Engineering Project Manager – Water/Wastewater
Location: Onsite | Charlotte, NC
Salary: $90,000 – $103,000 (Direct Hire)

Join an industry leader recognized nationwide for designing and manufacturing innovative water and wastewater treatment systems. We’re seeking an Engineering Project Manager – Water/Wastewater to oversee full-cycle project execution, ensuring on-time delivery, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage project scope, budget, timelines, and deliverables

Develop and maintain detailed project schedules with clearly defined payment milestones

Prepare submittal packages and collaborate with customers and engineering firms to obtain necessary approvals
-
Provide leadership across internal and external teams, ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle
-
Maintain comprehensive project documentation and archive records appropriately
-
Oversee multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality and efficiency
-
Coordinate with vendors to support system design and execution
-
Conduct site visits for training, measurements, and installation support as needed
-
Partner with field service teams to resolve on-site issues
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Minimum 5 years of combined experience in project management and engineering

Proven ability to negotiate and manage project deliverables successfully
-
Proficient in reviewing technical drawings and 3D SolidWorks models
-
Strong mechanical equipment design background with exceptional attention to detail

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Experience with project management software tools

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Experience:
-
Familiarity with fabrication processes: bending, punching, welding, etc.

Prior experience in the municipal water and wastewater industry
-
Knowledge of material handling systems (e.g., conveyors, bulk storage)
-
Understanding of electrical systems, instrumentation, and controls
-
Design experience with rotating equipment (shafts, gearboxes, bearings)

Ability to perform machine design calculations
-
Experience with Epicor ERP system
