Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Engineering Project Coordinator to drive the successful planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, that are aimed at improving facilities, processes, and equipment. This position serves as the central point of contact between maintenance, operations, and external partners to ensure the successful delivery of projects in compliance with cost targets, timelines, operational requirements, safety standards, and legal obligations. Responsibilities:
- Apply the company’s project management process
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and control all stages of projects (equipment installation, plant modifications, CAPEX projects, automation, layout changes, etc.)
- Define project requirements, perform risk analyses, and establish project scope
- Develop technical specifications and coordinate the tendering process
- Evaluate bids, recommend suppliers, and monitor project costs
- Organize project logistics (resources, materials, equipment, production shutdowns)
- Be present on the shop floor to coordinate and support multidisciplinary teams
- Document projects and maintain compliance records
- Monitor project progress, including timelines, budgets, and performance indicators
- Participate in the introduction of new technologies, equipment, or innovative industrial practices, and identify improvement opportunities
- Coordinate knowledge transfer with operations teams
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
Requirements:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in industrial or mechanical engineering, or in any other related discipline, or possess equivalent experience
- Have 3 to 5 years of project management experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or agrifood environment
- Have knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Have knowledge of project management tools
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Strong analytical skills and critical thinking
- Recognized for leadership, autonomy, and initiative
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Good communication skills and strong teamwork abilities
- This position requires occasional travel to the company’s various sites
- This position requires a passport, a driver’s license, and proficiency in French and English
