Role Overview:
The primary responsibility is to lead and manage programs and large-scale projects from start to finish, ensuring alignment with business goals, timely completion, and effective use of resources (CAPEX and OPEX).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end execution of major projects/programs to drive harmonization and governance.
- Ensure all activities are completed before gate reviews for timely progress.
- Manage project teams and stakeholders, promoting effective communication and collaboration throughout the lifecycle.
- Provide regular updates to functional and executive leadership.
- Conduct post-project reviews to identify best practices and improvement areas.
- Oversee various project types: capacity expansion, compliance, safety, digitalization, new product development (NPD), crisis response, facility upgrades, etc.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans including scope, objectives, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, finance, manufacturing, procurement) to ensure successful integration of NPD and CAPEX projects.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks (e.g., delays, cost overruns, technical issues).
- Monitor and control project budgets to ensure optimal capital use.
- Track project performance with key metrics, adjusting plans as needed to meet goals.
- Coordinate changes in scope, schedule, or cost, and ensure all stakeholders are informed.
- Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across teams and projects.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management, highlighting successes, challenges, and opportunities.
- Research and recommend new project management tools and technologies to enhance industrialization and CAPEX effectiveness.
- Support integration of new technologies/processes into existing systems with minimal disruption.
- Ensure alignment on project goals and expectations across all departments.
Qualifications
- BS in Engineering (Mechanical ) or equivalent experience.
- MBA or MS in Engineering .
- 5+ years of engineering and project management experience.
- Proven success in Lean manufacturing environments.
- PMP certification is a plus.
- Strong leadership in capital and project management.
- Experience in operations or advanced manufacturing engineering .
- Ability to operate effectively in global, multicultural, matrixed organizations.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 30%.
