Were seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to oversee full project lifecycles for complex equipment installations. This role requires a hands-on leader with a background in assembly systems, material handling, and cross-functional coordination. The right candidate will manage multiple concurrent projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring technical accuracy, schedule integrity, and budget alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead planning and execution of automotive assembly line projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and team coordination
- Oversee mechanical and electrical integration of automated equipment, ensuring alignment with OEM specifications and customer requirements
- Serve as primary point of contact between engineering, manufacturing, and client teams
- Coordinate resource allocation across engineering disciplines and vendors to meet project milestones
- Utilize MS Project or equivalent tools to track progress, identify risks, and report status updates
- Drive project documentation, including change orders, test plans, and system validation reports
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience in automotive or industrial automation environments
- Familiarity with test equipment, FMEA processes, and CAD-based layouts
- Experience managing OEM clients and delivering large-scale capital projects
- Strong understanding of material handling and assembly systems integration
- Ability to lead technical discussions and drive problem resolution under pressure
- Proficient in project tracking tools such as MS Project and ERP systems
