Engineering Project Manager

As the client champion, product owner, and team leader, you'll wear many hats but focus on building successful products that delight customers.

The Ideal Candidate:

You're a people person with a knack for planning and execution. You thrive in fast-paced environments, leading diverse engineering teams through complex challenges. Market awareness and a collaborative spirit are essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical boundaries. Tight deadlines and juggling multiple projects won't faze you. You're a natural leader who combines attention to detail with technical expertise to push boundaries and elevate concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Client Experience: You are the client's voice within i3. You plan and estimate work, but client satisfaction is your top priority; you'll take ownership of ensuring their needs are not just met but exceeded.
  • Own the Product Vision: This product is your baby. You'll work with the client to define the feature set, manage the development lifecycle, and become an expert in the product, its technology, and potential execution challenges. You hold the responsibility of monitoring, controlling, and maintaining project scope, timeline, and budget
  • Own Your Team: You'll empower and guide your team of i3 engineers and developers, fostering a collaborative environment where everyone is focused on achieving a common goal.
  • Be the Voice of the Customer: You'll keep every team member laser focused on the ultimate objective: creating happy, loyal customers through the development of successful products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's of Science Degree or equivalent training/certification in Engineering or a closely related field
  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • Project management experience is , and PMP certification is a plus.
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering projects
  • Experience coaching and mentoring team members
  • Confident public with dynamic presentation skills and the ability to connect with people during sales and internal meetings
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of electro-mechanical systems and connected products is a big plus.
