opportunities to increase their interest and skills in the STEM fields, while preparing them to enter post-secondary

Position Overview
This position will co-instruct a classroom of 20-30 students from 6th to 8th grade to teach about STEM through the
completion of hands-on engineering projects in an in-person environment.
Responsibilities
Teach basic engineering principles using a project-based learning curriculum to elementary and high school students
Design and construct multiple STEM projects and learn the STEM concepts behind how they project works
Prepare and submit weekly lesson plans to your manager
Prepare project materials and transport them to/from the Project SYNCERE office as well as to program sites
Administer, collect, and/or submit program location paperwork, photos, and attendance by specified deadlines
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and participating in
training sessions
Ability to work with Google Platforms and Zoom Platforms
10-15 hours based on program availability
Requirements:
Required Education and Experience
Pursuing at least a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, math, or a science discipline
Basic knowledge of engineering fields and principles
Previous work with elementary and/or high school students is
Must display sophisticated writing and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to instruct in a Hybrid/virtual learning environment
Ability to problem solve, analyze information, and demonstrate professionalism
Transportation is a plus

Available in person during the school year.
