Job Summary
Contract Type: Permanent
Reporting Line: Technical Manager / Team Leader
Work Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Anticipated start: January 2024

What You Will Do
Work with Altair’s existing and prospective clients to solve problems, create value, improve growth, and maximize business efficiency and profitability through the implementation of Altair’s CAE product offering. Support and mentor a small team of employees to promote Altair’s values, encourage and develop staff, improve team knowledge and performance, and ensure quality and consistency of work across the team.
Performance Areas
- Serve as a member of the worldwide EDEM Product team which has the following general responsibilities:
- Product Support – provide technical support for EDEM customers worldwide and assist our clients in deploying EDEM technology.
- Development Support – provide feedback to the EDEM Product Manager and Development team on current and future versions of our software products. You will play a key role in EDEM product quality to ensure a good customer experience.
- Marketing Release Support – generate relevant data to support product releases
- Perform testing EDEM (DEM software) features and bugs of the product is maintained.
- Report issues as the arise, working with product team to determine propose solutions.
- Co-ordinate meetings to generate specifications for new features.
- Be proactive in learning Altair products, with a particular focus on those which apply to EDEM.
- Work to the simulation products deadlines.
- Provide training to new employees.
- Work with Sales and Marketing teams to produce technical content
- Work across various teams and disciplines to develop new ideas to solve complex business problems
- Work closely with team members to communicate company goals and identify areas for new training and skills development
What You Will Need
Qualifications
· Master’s degree in engineering or other technical discipline (e.g Mechanical, Civil)
· Experience using CAE/CFD tools is preferred
· Logical problem-solving approach and the ability to clearly communicate the situation and proposed solution to the customer
Preferred Requirements
· Experience with programming languages (C++/Python or similar)
