Position Summary
The Engineering Process Controller is an entry level position that applies a working knowledge of engineering fundamentals to the division's engineering and design activities under the direction the Engineering Manager. The Engineering Process Controller will also be required to interact with other company personnel including those in QA, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Shipping and Receiving, as necessary to provide coordinated support to manufacturing, integration, and test activities. This role does not require travel.
It is the intent that after a period of approximately one (1) year, the Engineering Process Controller will be assigned to one of the functional groups within the Engineering Department (Waterfront, Submarine Planning, DDS Planning, or JML Development) based on performance and the candidate's desired progression path.
Duties And Responsibilities

- Performs basic engineering tasks and conventional design that may be varied in nature.
- Exhibits good technical judgment and some independent evaluation, originality and ingenuity.
- Develops schedules and estimates for assigned tasks and prepares reports on the results of the work accomplished.
- Conducts required reviews and implements updates to Departmental Process Instructions.
- Coordinates/Tracks ongoing Departmental actions in support of Audits, Self-Assessments, and lessons learned from work team investigations.
- Maintains inter-departmental training and updates to training schedule based on direction by the Engineering Manager and Production group managers.
- Aids in identifying and implementing process improvements to current systems.

Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- \n
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Ocean or Nuclear) or Naval Architecture from accredited college or university.
- Demonstrated intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Must be a U.S. who is not a dual of any other country.
