Engineering Manager | Whitehall, MI

Salary Range: $110,000 - $159,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and technical staff.
• Oversee engineering projects for new product introduction, process optimization, and equipment upgrades.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices in all engineering activities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, and R&D teams to resolve technical challenges and achieve operational goals.
• Manage departmental budget, resources, and timelines to meet project deliverables and strategic objectives.
• Develop and implement engineering strategies to support long-term manufacturing capabilities and innovation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong technical background in relevant engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical, electrical, industrial) within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing engineering teams.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex engineering projects from concept to completion, including budget and timeline.
• Familiarity with industry safety standards, quality management systems (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma), and regulatory compliance.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
• MBA or advanced degree in a related technical or business field
• Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies (e.g., Industry 4.0, AI/ML applications)
• Proficiency with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or product lifecycle management (PLM) systems specific to manufacturing
