About the Role
As Engineering Manager – Structural Engineering, you will lead a team of structural engineers and designers responsible for delivering high-quality engineering solutions across complex subsea offshore projects.
You will join our Structures & Ancillaries department in Brøndby, a team of passionate and highly skilled structural engineers, mechanical engineers, and technical designers.
Our flexible offshore pipe systems must function flawlessly in all conditions. To keep the pipes in place, we use a wide range of steel structures and polymer components. The department is responsible for the design and fabrication of these components, and in this role, you will lead and manage these activities.
This position combines people leadership, technical management, and project execution, ensuring engineering excellence from concept development through detailed design and fabrication support to final customer delivery.
You will play a key role in developing talent, driving continuous improvement, and supporting the successful execution of projects across our global organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop an engineering team of approximately 7–8 employees responsible for delivering structures and ancillary components to customer projects worldwide. The team is part of a larger organization consisting of three teams: two based in Denmark and one in Brazil.
- Own and oversee the complete engineering scope—from concept development, analysis, and documentation to hands-on fabrication support and, where required, installation support.
- Collaborate with project managers, suppliers, and customers to ensure engineering solutions meet expectations regarding quality, schedule, and functionality.
- Drive continuous improvement by enhancing tools, workflows, and engineering best practices to improve departmental performance.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact, guiding key decisions and ensuring critical issues are escalated appropriately.
- Manage resources strategically by planning team capacity, supporting resource allocation, fostering individual development, and cultivating a culture of ownership, technical curiosity, and collaboration.
- Represent engineering leadership in cross-functional meetings and serve as a key contributor in project planning, design reviews, and customer interactions.
Qualifications & Skills
We are looking for a confident and engaged leader with a strong engineering background and the ability to drive both technical excellence and team performance.
You bring:
- A B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Structural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven experience leading or managing engineering teams in a project-driven environment.
- 8-10 years of work experience in the field.
- Technical insight into structural engineering and fabrication.
- Excellent leading, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
- The ability to navigate complex projects involving global and cross-functional collaboration.
- Fluency in English; Danish language skills are considered an advantage.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with polymer components.
- Experience within the offshore, subsea, oil & gas, or renewable energy sectors.
- Familiarity with project-based matrix organizations.
