Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Engineering Manager oversees the development, optimization, and implementation of manufacturing processes to ensure operational excellence, product quality, and cost efficiency. This role leads a cross-functional team of engineers and maintenance professionals, driving process improvement and new technology integration across all production areas. The position focuses on ensuring safety, innovation, and continuous improvement within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor the engineering and maintenance teams to achieve plant performance objectives.Design and implement efficient manufacturing layouts and process flows using lean principles.Collaborate with R&D, quality, and production departments to ensure manufacturability of new and existing products.Manage engineering projects, budgets, and timelines from concept through implementation.Drive root cause analysis and corrective action activities to eliminate production inefficiencies.Stay current with advancements in manufacturing technology and recommend upgrades or process improvements.Support product launches and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.Oversee capital expenditure projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and return on investment.Train vendors and internal teams on technical requirements for new product introductions.Maintain documentation and testing standards for process validation and product compliance.Foster a safety-first culture by enforcing all environmental, health, and safety requirements.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (advanced degree ).7–10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Proven expertise in lean manufacturing, process improvement, and automation.Strong working knowledge of AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, SPC).Demonstrated success in managing technical projects and capital investments.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.Effective communicator capable of influencing cross-functional teams and leadership.

Working EnvironmentThe role operates primarily within a manufacturing plant environment. Exposure to machinery, noise, and moving mechanical components is common. Frequent floor presence is expected to support operations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure effective collaboration between departments. Standing and walking for extended periods may be required.
