Engineering Manager – Highways\nLocation: Lincoln\nRole: Project-based - Engineering & Design Leadership\nSalary: Competitive (DOE) + Benefits\n\nAre you a technically strong Civil Engineering professional with proven leadership experience in design delivery?\n\nOur client — a major infrastructure contractor with a strong track record across highways, rail, flood & coastal defence and industrial projects — is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead engineering design and delivery across a large highways project in Lincolnshire\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of high-profile infrastructure delivery, driving design excellence and operational delivery across a major project portfolio.\n\nWhat you’ll be doing\n\nAs Engineering Manager, you will:\nLead all design and engineering activities on projects, including temporary works and managing external consultants\nEnsure design compliance, approvals and quality standards are met\nLead CDM Principal Designer duties and responsibilities\nDeliver operationally effective designs on time and within budget\nCollaborate closely with internal teams and subject matter experts across the business\nAct as the main design point of contact for clients, stakeholders and third parties\nDrive the adoption and integration of digital technologies across project delivery\nSupport supply chain technical compliance and project risk management\n\nWho we’re looking for\nYou will ideally be an experienced Civil Engineering professional with:\nProven experience in civil engineering and construction design, ideally in highways or major infrastructure\nStrong technical knowledge with a sound understanding of operational delivery and risk management\nA results-driven approach with strong quality focus and flexibility to meet deadlines\nExcellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills\nCustomer-focused mindset with an eye for value and continuous improvement\n\nIf you’re a proactive Engineering Manager looking to lead design delivery on high-profile infrastructure projects, we’d love to hear from you.\n\nApply now or contact us for a confidential discussion
