Job Description
Balance of Plant (BOP) Manager
Salary: $118k–$197k + 15% STIP
Location: Houston (Travel up to 20%)
Balance of Plant Manager / Power Manager / Engineering Manager to join a rapidly growing global energy service business that is expanding its power business unit.
The Balance of Plant (BOP) Manager will lead the extended scope engineering solutions related to power projects, providing technical and commercial deliverables beyond packaged solutions. The role will be supported by a skilled team of engineers specializing in system optimization, cost estimation, and project execution.
The Manager will also manage third-party interfaces, such as EPCs, to ensure timely and on-budget completion of the front-end engineering design (FEED).

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Power BOP team and deliver designs, drawings, and specifications for natural gas engine-based microgrids under an EPCM execution model.
- Manage internal and external resources to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
- Assist in contract negotiations with EPCs or third-party engineering services.
- Develop engineering standards and reference designs for microgrid BOP.
- Liaise with applications engineers and EPCs to submit proposals to customers.
- Review third-party proposals, specifications, and designs for compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with engine OEM teams to understand interface requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and train the Power BOP team.
- Promote and adhere to HSE policies.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Balance of Plant Manager, Power Manager, Engineering Manager, Microgrid Power Manager, Lead Power Engineer - BOP, BOP Project Manager or similar.
- 15+ years of relevant experience with leadership responsibilities.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong customer relationship and networking skills.
- Office-based in Houston with a willingness to travel up to 20%.
