Engineering Manager in Fort Wayne

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engineering team supporting launch and production of medical implants and surgical instrumentation
• Own quoting process for new business
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, DMAIC, Six Sigma)
• Support:
• • DFM 
  • Timeline development
  • Resource and budget planning
  • Capital equipment acquisition
  • Present to customers and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Experience:

• Industry: Manufacturing (metals machining - medical device )
• Orthopedic experience
• Technical Expertise:
• • CNC machining (milling & lathe required)
  • Wire EDM, laser etching, welding
  • Assembly, inspection processes
• Medical device industry experience ( but not mandatory)
• NPI experience
• Aerospace background is a plus
