An exciting opportunity for an Engineering Manager to lead and develop a UK-based engineering team, ensuring projects are delivered on time and in full. The role focuses on building capability, maintaining standards, and aligning processes across departments while supporting business objectives and ensuring access to key technical expertise.
Who this role would suit:
This role would suit an experienced Engineering leader with strong project delivery expertise and a background in managing multidisciplinary teams. Ideal for someone commercially aware, organised, and confident in driving performance, improving processes, and collaborating across functions in a fast-paced, technical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, manage, and develop the engineering team to meet project deliverables
Ensure access to appropriate subject matter expertise across projects
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure alignment and efficiency
Support senior leadership and deputise for the Engineering Director when required
Carry out Resource Forecasting and Planning to ensure efficient project delivery.Requirements:
Proven experience in Management within Manufacturing or Engineering environment
Excellent people skills with strong communication and approachable management style.
Experience in forecasting, and planning for highly regulated projects.
Knowledge of Design & Manufacturing techniques highly advantageous
HNC in Engineering or Equivalent experience
Excellent leadership and mentoring skills
Location: East Devon (relocation package offered)
Contract: Permanent, with Hybrid working + Benefits
Working Hours: Full Time, 40 hours, Monday - Friday.
Salary: £55k - £57k (dependent on experience)
