This role will provide you with an opportunity to travel to various locations throughout the UK, including various BAE, customer and supplier sites.\n\nCore duties: \n\nYou’ll be leading & managing an engineering team to deliver the functional design and definition of Electrical Power Systems equipment\n\nYou’ll be managing the processes and reviews of technical documentation & associated technical risks, assumptions and dependencies\n\nYou’ll provide advice on electrical power technical aspects across a broad range of engineering disciplines\n\nYou’ll be engaging with customers and suppliers to provide solutions to complex problems\n\nYou’ll be taking a leading role by guiding the team through the systems definition process\n\nYou’ll be providing leadership and mentoring of more junior team members to ensure the necessary capability and skills development\n\nEssential Skills: \n\nChartership or working (or prepared to work) towards\n\nEngineering degree or HND with substantial experience in Electrical Engineering design / development\n\nExperience of design / development of power systems (concept through to detailed design)\n\nSignificant knowledge of AC and DC electrical power systems\n\nStrong analytical and problem solving skills\n\nTeam Leadership experience\n\nThe Electrical Power Systems Definition Team:\n\nThe Electrical Power Systems Definition team are working on the UK’s next- SSN design that incorporates technology from the UK, Australia and the United States.
