We're Hiring: Engineering Manager

Hydro Service & Supplies has been the industry standard for advanced, customized high-purity water treatment technologies since 1967. We design, fabricate, install, and service world-class pretreatment and filtration systems, high-purity water systems, storage and distribution skids, and process skids for clients across Life Sciences, Pharma/Biotech, Microelectronics, Medical, Food & Beverage, and Industrial markets.

We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team out of our Durham, NC headquarters. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on leader who wants to shape how we design and deliver complex, custom-engineered water systems for some of the most demanding industries in the world.

What You'll Do

- Lead and mentor a team of engineers across mechanical, controls/instrumentation, and process disciplines
- Oversee the design and engineering of custom pretreatment, filtration, and high-purity water systems from concept through fabrication
- Partner with project management, fabrication, and field service teams to ensure engineering deliverables meet quality, schedule, and budget targets
- Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation (CAD, P&IDs, controls/programming)
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering standards, processes, and tools
- Support proposal development and technical scoping for new projects
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME, UL)

What We're Looking For
\n
- \n
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering (or related field)
- Proven experience managing or leading an engineering team, ideally in industrial equipment design, water treatment, or process skid fabrication
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical design, instrumentation/controls, and system integration
- Experience with CAD software and engineering documentation standards
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to work on-site in Durham, NC

- Salary Range: $110,000–$140,000, commensurate with experience
