Job DescriptionJob Description
The Engineering Manager leads new product development from concept through production. This role oversees engineering teams, ensures projects stay on schedule and within budget, and drives innovation, quality, and continuous improvement. The Engineering Manager translates customer and business needs into reliable, production-ready designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead product design and development, including prototyping, testing, and production launch.
- Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team; set goals and evaluate performance.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, procurement, and sales to ensure successful product launches.
- Establish and maintain engineering standards, design controls, and process controls.
- Manage risk through design reviews, testing, and validation.
- Drive continuous improvement in product performance and manufacturing efficiency.
- Evaluate new technologies and support long-term technical strategy.
- Oversee engineering budgets, resources, and documentation processes.
- Serve as a technical resource for customers and internal teams.
- Support troubleshooting of product and process issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical ); MBA or PE license is a plus.
- 10+ years of engineering or product design experience.
- 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with testing, manufacturing processes, and engineering documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
