Position Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers supporting both operations and capital initiatives across our Burlington manufacturing campus. This role plays a critical part in aligning day to day technical support with long term strategic project execution in a high speed, high volume food and beverage production environment.


The Engineering Manager will be responsible for supervising a multi disciplinary team, ensuring reliable plant performance, and delivering projects that enhance capacity, efficiency, and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership experience, strong technical acumen, and a collaborative mindset to help drive operational excellence.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Leadership and Team Management

• Provide direction, coaching, and performance management for a team of five engineers

• Align engineering resources with plant priorities, balancing short term support and long term initiatives

• Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement


Project Management and Execution

• Lead capital projects from concept through implementation, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, vendor management, installation, and startup

• Collaborate cross functionally with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, R&D, and Facilities to ensure project success

• Monitor project performance and deliver results on time and within budget


Operations Support and Reliability

• Oversee engineering support for equipment reliability, process troubleshooting, and system improvements

• Drive technical solutions that reduce downtime, improve product quality, and enhance safety

• Ensure engineering work aligns with applicable regulatory, safety, and sanitation standards


Technical Oversight and Systems

• Provide hands on technical leadership in areas including automation, packaging systems, utilities, and controls

• Ensure team proficiency with industrial systems, including PLC based control systems and Ignition SCADA

• Maintain accurate documentation and enforce engineering standards across the facility


Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering field

• Minimum 2 years of direct experience managing engineers in a manufacturing setting

• Demonstrated success leading capital projects and cross functional initiatives

• Strong working knowledge of industrial automation, equipment design, utilities, and manufacturing systems

• Proficiency in troubleshooting and supporting PLC controls and related systems

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem solving skills


Qualifications

• Experience in food and beverage, CPG, or other regulated manufacturing environments

• Familiarity with Ignition SCADA, AutoCAD or SolidWorks, and CMMS tools

• Working knowledge of lean manufacturing, TPM, or Six Sigma principles

• Understanding of OEE, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies


Travel Requirements

Minimal travel is required between facilities for training sessions, cross site support, or company meetings. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

• Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

• Ability to talk and hear clearly
