Engineering Manager Job Description:

PrideStaff is working with a local valve manufacturing facility in search of an Engineering Manager to lead and build its Engineering department. The Engineering Manager will utilize Engineering principles to provide efficient solutions to the development of processes and products, ranging from small component design to extremely large complex valves. The Engineering Manager will work on Projects from the design stage to final validation testing and field performance.  The ideal Engineering Manager is self-driven, and has an excellent understanding of design modification processes, quality control, and process optimization.  The Engineering Manager is a full-time, direct hire position in Santa Fe, TX.

Engineering Manager Job Responsibilities: 

• Disposition NCR & Requests For Deviation (Supporting OSB & Local Manufacturing)

• Develop / Update Specification With Colleagues, Engineering Disciplines & Third-Party Engineering

• Oversee Daily Drawing Requests & Manage Department Work Load For Drafter or Others

• Discussing & Completing Customer Requests With Departments, Third-Party Contractors, Suppliers & Clients or Customers

• Ensure Products Can be Manufactured Repeatedly & Reliably to Perform Consistently in Specified Operating Environments

• Manage In-House Projects Using Engineering Principles & Techniques 

• Plan & Design New Engineering Processes & Develop Engineering Processes That Perform Within API/ISO Requirements 

• Review Applications Data & Recommended Material Selections 

• Represent Engineering Department in Quality & Customer Audits 

• Develop Customer & Project Specific Design Packages (Material Selection, DWG Updates, Specifications Review)

• Support Manufacturing Department on Product Design, Development & Production

• Working With Other Professionals, Within & Outside The Engineering Realm

•  Manage DWG Process, From Request to Release 

Engineering Manager Job Requirements & Working Conditions:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Required, Master’s  

• 5+ Years of Engineering Design With Oil & Gas Industry Required 

• Valve, Actuation & Piping Systems Experience is a Plus

• Proven Experience in an Engineering Management or Leadership Role 

• Solid Knowledge of Solidworks, AutoCad, MathCAD, Draftsight, & Global Shop Solutions

• Proficient Knowledge of Industry Codes Such as API, ISO, NACE, FEA, & CFD

• Must be Comfortable Working Between The Manufacturing Department & an Office Setting

• Demonstrated Ability to Establish & Maintain Quality Control & Process Standards 

• Must be Able to Manage Multiple Projects & Priorities 

• Superb Problem Solving & Analytical Skills 

• Excellent Verbal & Written Communication Skills
