Location: Spring Grove, Illinois
Compensation: $140,000 - $150,000/year + ESOP + Target Bonus

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and technical leadership for the engineering department, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives

• Oversee the planning, design, and execution of projects across manufacturing, process improvement, and product development

• Manage and mentor a team of engineers, designers, and support staff; set clear expectations and foster professional growth

• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, production, and maintenance to optimize efficiency and reduce downtime

• Develop and manage departmental budgets, schedules, and resources to deliver projects on time and within scope

• Ensure all designs, processes, and equipment comply with regulatory, safety, and quality standards

• Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen manufacturing capabilities and product quality

• Act as a technical resource for troubleshooting, problem-solving, and evaluating new technologies

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline); advanced degree a plus

• 8+ years of engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role

• Strong background in manufacturing environments, with exposure to process optimization, capital projects, or product development

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills with proven ability to lead teams through complex challenges

• Proficiency in engineering software, CAD tools, and project management systems

• Demonstrated success in building collaborative relationships across departments and influencing at all levels of an organization
