Engineering Manager

Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long term career progression.



We are looking for an Engineering Manager who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.



Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for an Engineering Manager to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.



As the Engineering Manager, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.



The Engineering Manager, will be responsible for:



* Oversee and manage all Mechanical and Electrical systems on site, ensuring continuous and compliant operation.



* Supervise and lead a team of engineers, ensuring all work is carried out efficiently and in line with performance targets.



* Manage and operate Building Management Systems (BMS), including HV SCADA and Schneider systems, as well as site-wide lighting controls.



* Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), and issue Sanctions to Isolate where required.



* Manage the permitting of subcontractors, ensuring all third-party works are compliant and safely integrated into site operations.



* Monitor and verify completion of all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks and ensure performance targets such as KPIs and SLAs are consistently met.



* Carry out operational and maintenance duties as assigned by the Senior Operations Manager, always maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.



* Ensure the engineering control room operates effectively, supporting critical site infrastructure and responding to real-time system alerts and escalations.



To be successful for this Engineering Manager role you must have:



* C&G/NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.



* C&G 2391 (Inspection and Testing) certification.



* Demonstrable experience in facilities or building maintenance, ideally within a large-scale or critical environment.



* Experience working with and managing Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) and permitting systems.



* Hands-on experience with Schneider BMS systems and familiarity with HV SCADA controls.



* HV Authorised Person status is desirable.



* Awareness of Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations is desirable.



* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and drive high standards in safety, compliance, and service delivery.



* Must be eligible to undergo and pass Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for access to secure environments.
