Salary: £65,000 - £70,000

Working Hours: Monday to Friday

Location: Northampton



We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager to be responsible for the running of of engineering department on site in Northampton.



Key Responsibilities:



Manage the departmental budget with a focus on cost efficiency, value creation, and strategic resource planning.



Champion development opportunities for the engineering team, conducting regular performance reviews and providing technical mentorship.



Take ownership of full life cycle CAPEX and infrastructure project delivery-ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.



Partner closely with Production and Shift Managers to plan, coordinate, and align engineering activities with operational goals



Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and internal maintenance systems to maximise equipment uptime.



Drive site-wide energy optimisation initiatives to improve efficiency and sustainability.



Support the negotiation and management of external service contracts, ensuring value for money and service quality.



Ensure full compliance with all relevant Health & Safety, environmental, and insurance legislation (UK/EU standards).



Person Specification:



Degree or HND in Engineering or a related technical field.



Extensive maintenance experience within a highly automated, batch production, or FMCG environment.



Solid budgeting and resource management expertise.



Strong communication and interpersonal skills.



A passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
