Are you an experienced Engineering Manager or Senior Engineer ready to step up into a leadership role?
Our client, a successful FMCG manufacturing business based near Kirkham, is looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a small team of engineers and drive performance, reliability, and continuous improvement across the site.
This is a days-only role offering excellent work-life balance, autonomy, and the chance to make a real impact within a close-knit, well-invested manufacturing facility.
The Role:

Lead and manage a small team of multi-skilled engineers, ensuring high levels of performance and engagement
*
Oversee engineering projects, installations, and improvement initiatives across the site
*
Deliver and maintain a robust PPM strategy while responding efficiently to breakdowns
*
Work closely with other departments to drive reliability and reduce downtime
*
Be hands-on when needed to support urgent breakdowns or complex issues
*
Ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with food safety and compliance standards
What We’re Looking For:
*
Proven experience as an Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager, or Lead Engineer within a manufacturing environment
*
Background in FMCG or food manufacturing is highly desirable
*
Strong leadership and people management skills
*
Experience managing projects, budgets, and external contractors
*
Ability to remain hands-on when needed and lead by example
*
Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or higher)
