Engineering Manager

Description :The Engineering Manger will oversee a team of engineers and technicians who are responsible for implementing Spark manufacturing processes, analyzing and optimizing performance for clear aligner manufacturing lines. Engineering Manager will focus on VOC clinical feedback to improve our Spark Clear Aligner quality, support the organization from prototype development through full-scale production, and work with multiple departments such as EBS, Quality Assurance, R&D, Procurement, and Regulatory Affairs to improve existing manufacturing equipment. Additionally, the Engineering Manager will focus on processes to increase throughput, decrease operational costs, and improve quality.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Project manager, Controls/Automation group, and Software group in developing the specification for robust new machines designLead improvement and sustaining engineering support for existing production linesPropose concept and manage implementation of innovative solutions to develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing and inspection processes and procedures.Support and/or perform equipment, process validations and testing to internal proceduresProvide process development engineering support for new product development projects in cooperation with RD&T Provide analysis and initiate equipment modifications to improve productivity and product qualityManage cooperation with outside vendors to coordinate the development of manufacturing equipmentWork closely with maintenance department to improve machine reliability/reduce downtime and define equipment maintenance requirementsAssist with procurementAssist with resolving issues with suppliersLead activity with repairing equipment and toolingAssist with performing process failure mode effects analysesWork with Operations and outside Vendors to create methods/process to improve capacities with productionDocument Cost SavingsWork with management to establish project timeliness, project justification, and budget forecastsProvide the resources for operational departments for materials, equipment and process upgradesPursue and participate in company LEAN initiativesResponsible for the quality and financial aspects of the company as well as managing the group performanceJob Requirements:Minimum Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field or related discipline from an accredited university4-6 years experience in process development engineeringExperience in the design and support of equipment and production linesExperienced in the design and development of fixtures, automation workstations, accounting for work and process flowExperience with Solid Works or other CAD modeling software is plusExperience in project management and leadershipAbility to synchronize the team plans with RD&T center scheduleAbility to understand the design & troubleshooting of complex machines and automated production lines.Effective management skills - must be able to lead the team with good interpersonal and leadership qualities to get assigned tasks completed in a timely manner.Must possess effective and verbal communications skills.Must possess good organizational and prioritization skills to maintain andaddress multiple assigned projects and expectations.Ability to focus on all details and requirements of current medical deviceproduct development.Proficient in MS OfficePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in medical device industryEperience in orthodontic industryExperience and exposure to mainstream manufacturing technologies such as CNC's, 3D prototyping, thermoforming, automation within manufacturing environmentOperating Company:SparkEnvista and its family of companies (Envista) will not accept unsolicited resumes from any source other than directly from a candidate.
