Engineering Lecturer (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Manufacturing & General Engineering)\n\nLocation: NCG Sites – Southwark College, Lewisham College & NCG Higher Education Centre (London)\n Contract: Temporary / Permanent (subject to experience and availability)\n Hours: Full-time / Part-time opportunities available\n Start Date: To be confirmed\n Advertised by: The Supply Register\n\nJob Summary\n\nThe Supply Register is recruiting on behalf of NCG for experienced and enthusiastic Engineering Lecturers across multiple specialisms to support teaching across engineering programmes at Southwark College, Lewisham College, and the NCG Higher Education Centre in London.\n\nThis opportunity is ideal for engineering professionals or qualified lecturers who are passionate about developing the next of engineers. You will deliver engaging teaching that combines technical theory with practical application, supporting students as they develop the knowledge and skills required for careers in engineering and manufacturing.\n\nNCG delivers a range of further education and higher education engineering programmes, preparing learners for employment, apprenticeships, and further study within the engineering sector.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nAs an Engineering Lecturer, you will:\n\n• Deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across engineering programmes\n • Teach within one or more specialist areas such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or General Engineering\n • Plan and deliver engaging lessons combining theoretical learning with practical workshop or laboratory activities\n • Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to support achievement and progression\n • Support students in developing technical knowledge, practical skills, and employability skills\n • Contribute to course development, curriculum planning, and quality assurance processes\n • Maintain a safe workshop or laboratory environment, following health and safety procedures\n • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support student success and programme delivery\n\nRequirements\n\nEssential\n\n• A qualification or significant industry experience in an engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Manufacturing, or General Engineering\n • Experience teaching, training, mentoring, or supervising apprentices or learners\n • Strong technical knowledge and practical engineering skills\n • Ability to engage and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds\n • Excellent communication and organisational skills\n\nDesirable\n\n• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)\n • Experience delivering engineering programmes in further or higher education\n • Relevant assessor or verifier qualifications\n • Professional or industry-recognised engineering qualifications or memberships\n\nWhat We Offer\n\n• Opportunity to teach across NCG’s engineering provision in London\n • Competitive pay rates, dependent on experience\n • Weekly payroll through The Supply Register\n • Ongoing support and professional development opportunities\n • A professional and collaborative working environment\n\nSafeguarding Statement\n\nThe Supply Register and NCG are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, people, and vulnerable adults.
