You will manage 2 Supervisors and 13 Engineers, therefore great people management skills are essential.Your impact will be felt every day as you collaborate with a team dedicated to keeping the estate running smoothly for students and staff, strengthening statutory compliance and H&S, optimising resources and supplier performance, and elevating client satisfaction across the university.\n\nWhat you'll do\n\nLead, motivate, and develop a multi-skilled Hard FM team, setting clear objectives and driving high performance across engineering, compliance, and support roles\nOversee the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance (PPM & reactive) across all M&E systems, ensuring services are safe, compliant, and delivered to SLA/KPI targets\nEnsure full statutory compliance across the estate, including maintaining accurate logbooks, audit readiness, and adherence to Safe Systems of Work and Permit to Work procedures\nManage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and performance across all outsourced works\nMonitor and improve service delivery through data, audits, and performance reporting, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction\nCoordinate labour, resources, and materials effectively, working closely with the service desk to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of all maintenance activities\nBuild strong relationships with key stakeholders, including university partners and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and a collaborative approach to service excellenceFor a full list of responsibilities please read the attached job description\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n\nThe individual will require a high level of knowledge of building services systems and lead the site team from a technical perspective with a high level of technical ability.\nWill hold a recognised trade, electrical, mechanical, plumbing.\nMinimum 2 years management experience of a diverse workforce\nMinimum 2 years’ experience working within a TFM / IFM environment.\nConfident in using Microsoft office suite.\nExperienced in compiling performance reports and competent in presenting to management.\nExperience of using time management and payroll applications, including resource planning\nExtensive experience of hard services and associated regulations\nHave a good understanding of risk assessments and safe systems of work.\nExperience of preparing for internal and external FM audits\nConfident at building client and stakeholder relationships\n\nWhat We Offer\n\nAt Sodexo, this is more than just a job—it’s your chance to be part of something greater.We celebrate individuality, encourage purpose-driven work, and empower you to succeed on your own terms.
