Location: Lakewood, CO
Pioneer Energy is seeking an Engineering to support the design, analysis, testing, and field deployment of modular hydrocarbon processing equipment. Pioneer Energy develops skid- and trailer-mounted systems for field gas conditioning, crude stabilization, emissions reduction, vapor pressure treatment, NGL recovery, and related oil and gas processing applications.
In this role, you will work with engineers on process, mechanical, and electrical design tasks involving PFDs and P&IDs, equipment sizing, pressure vessels, heat transfer, separation, gas conditioning, fluid systems, instrumentation, controls, wiring, electrical documentation, and fabrication support. Projects may include data analysis, design calculations, CAD/modeling support, equipment documentation, electrical schematics, panel layouts, test planning, commissioning support, and troubleshooting for field-deployed systems.
The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in mechanical, chemical, process, or electrical engineering and has strong technical curiosity, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail. Experience with Excel, CAD, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat and mass transfer, electrical systems, instrumentation, controls, or oil and gas production/process systems is . Familiarity with pressure vessels, gas processing, skid-mounted equipment, control panels, sensors, PLCs, or field instrumentation is a plus.
