Job Title: Engineering Lab Technician

Pay Rate: $29.62/hour

Work Mode: Onsite

Duration: 12-month contract

Job Description

The Engineering Lab Technician supports laboratory testing, device assembly, and experimental setups within a research and technology environment. The role involves hands-on technical work, equipment maintenance, accurate data collection, and strict adherence to safety and operational procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assemble new devices, test fixtures, and experimental laboratory setups.
• Execute laboratory tests using standardized methods and accurately record results.
• Identify abnormal test or equipment behavior, troubleshoot minor issues, and escalate when needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance on laboratory puff machines (weekly, monthly, semiannual schedules).
• Conduct calibration of laboratory equipment according to established timelines.
• Operate and maintain 3D printers, including routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
• Follow all safety protocols when working with chemicals, tools, and powered equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering ), OR
• Associate’s degree in Engineering or Mechanical/Electrical Technology with 1+ years of experience, OR
• 5+ years of relevant hands-on technical experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
